Seventeen Blazes Back with “FML”: An Album So Good, You’ll Want to Shout the Title (But With a Heart Full of Hope)

SEVENTEEN strikes a powerful pose on the cover of their FML album, radiating charisma and defiance against a backdrop of vibrant neon lights

Forget “Don’t Wanna Cry,” SEVENTEEN is ready to scream “F*ck My Life” (FML) in their electrifying 10th mini-album. But don’t let the edgy title fool you. This release is a rollercoaster of emotions, packed with honesty, vulnerability, and ultimately, a powerful message of self-discovery and resilience.

Beyond the Buzzword: “FML” as a Universal Feeling

The album bursts out of the gate with the double title track, “F*ck My Life” and “Super.” While the initial shock of the former’s raw expression draws attention, it’s the underlying message that sticks. These songs don’t just shout frustration; they acknowledge the universal feeling of being lost, overwhelmed, and sometimes, yes, wanting to shout “FML” to the world.

Genre-Bending Brilliance: From R&B to Anime Bangers

SEVENTEEN’s musical prowess shines throughout the album. “Trauma” delves into dark R&B, showcasing soulful vocals and intricate harmonies. “Don’t Lie” and “Ash” offer bright dance pop, while “Call My Name” takes a funky turn with brassy horns and infectious groove. Then there’s “This End,” the anime-inspired anthem that explodes with soaring vocals and headbanging energy.

More Than Just Bangers: Vulnerability and Self-Reflection

But amidst the sonic fireworks, SEVENTEEN also gets introspective. “Fire” grapples with self-doubt and societal pressures, while “I Don’t Know But I Love You” offers a sweet ode to unconditional love. These softer moments showcase the group’s vocal talent and emotional depth, reminding us that behind the flashy performances are relatable human beings.

A Triumphant Message of Growth and Hope

Ultimately, “FML” is an album about facing our darkness head-on. It’s about acknowledging our struggles, embracing our vulnerabilities, and then rising above them. The closing track, “Cheers,” perfectly encapsulates this spirit, urging listeners to celebrate their journey, flaws and all.

“FML” is More Than Just an Album, It’s an Experience

SEVENTEEN has once again delivered a musically diverse and emotionally resonant album. “FML” is not just catchy earworms; it’s a sonic tapestry woven with raw honesty, vulnerability, and ultimately, the triumphant spirit of self-discovery. So crank up the volume, embrace the “FML” moments, and get ready to shout for joy as SEVENTEEN reminds you that even when life throws you lemons, you can still make delicious lemonade (and dance moves that wouldn’t look out of place in an anime fight scene).

  • If you told me my wedges would play a major part of a top finish in a tourney I would have laughed last year But today my jaws 54 came up big time and time again A scramble on a par 3 short sighted and the pitch from the deep rough landed at 7 ft Another scramble on a par 3 out of wet deep rough A pitch to 10 ft from 85 yards setting up a birdie opportunity Another birdie opportunity after a 75 yard pitch to 11 ft I was really impressed how it picked some balls up out of some weird lies in the fairway Not to mention the spin in combination with the chrome soft and chrome tour is just awesome Definitely as expected you get a bit more spin with the tour but either one are fantastic with the jaws I’m really hoping this sudden surge in wedge play is a sign of things to come
